Stories of Immigration and Immigrant Rights Activism
On June 29, 2019, California Listens came to the New Americans Museum in San Diego. Working with Executive Director Linda Cabellero Sotelo and the museum staff , we sat down with a dozen local activists, experts, and community members engaged in issues of immigration and immigrant rights. The stories captured included discussions of the challenges facing immigrants, the recent crisis, and the ways in which those working on the border have sustained their commitment. While at the museum, border and immigrant rights photographer, David Maung, took two formal portraits of the participants for the videos.
The portraits can be found below, as well as the complete audio interviews.
